Cryogenic gases are liquefied gases that are kept in their liquid state at very low temperatures and high pressures. This training includes the hazards of the gases, asphyxiation, explosive and fire potential and corrosive gasses. This excellent program includes chemical poisoning, cryogenic materials and personal protective equipment. Some additional hazards to consider include liquid oxygen and nitrogen, storage and handling of cylinders, how to handle leaking cylinders, and labels/identification. The program includes comprehensive information on cylinders and the many steps in working, using and storing gas cylinders safely. Of course, frostbite and burns are discussed in the program.
