Lead Awareness Course

Duration: 2 Hours

Scope of Training:
This training course covers the possible hazards associated with the removal of contaminated paint used before 1980. Lead has been taken out of most paints since 1978.

Course Objective:
Student successfully completing this course will be able to perform the following duties:

• Have recognition of contamination
• Be able to recognize the symptoms of exposure
• Use of respirators and proper PPE
• Use and understand regulatory requirements (OSHA)
• Identify on the job hazards
