Scope of Training:
This training course reinforces safe operating procedures and the necessary equipment to accomplish safe and efficient confined space operations. New equipment technology and equipment options for different situations that may be encountered on the job are also covered. Students will be introduced to hands-on scenarios including proper fall protection equipment, planning tasks at elevation or in confined space, and recognizing confined space hazards.
Course Objective:
Upon completing this course, student trainees should be able to:

Use of specialized retrieval systems
Use of a spine board
Special rescue system consideration and evaluation
Conduct vertical rescue/horizontal rescue
Plan a confined space job
Define Permit-Required Confined Space
Identify the confined spaces in their workplace
List the five main types of hazardous atmosphere
Discuss physical hazards that may be encountered
Complete an entry permit
Discuss hazard control techniques
Discuss when respirators are necessary
Define the role of Entrant, Attendant, Supervisor, and Rescuer
