Structural Collapse Rescue Technician

Duration: 30 Hours

Scope of Training:
This 30-hour program is for Emergency Responders who will encounter structural collapse at the technician level response under NFPA 1670 and NFPA 1006 Technical Rescuer Level II standards. Various techniques and operations are taught with the emphasis on rescuer safety. Techniques include; concrete breaching & breaking, heavy lifting & moving, rigging techniques, crane safety and advanced shoring concepts. This program includes techniques utilized by the FEMA Urban Search & Rescue Task Forces, but are designed for local and regional response organizations. Classroom presentations and extensive hands-on practical sessions are all part of this intensive program.
